autumn fern frongs

Strange but True

Many years ago, I was very much into the alternative, natural ways of combating stress. One was colour therapy – how different shades and intensities can affect mood.

Warm shades lean towards comfort. Cool ones, like ice blue, send shivers down the spine. Yet, if it is a hot day wearing this tone actually makes a person feel cooler.

At this moment, I have a bright fuchsia-pink jumper on. Earlier in the week feeling a bit low, there in the drawer the jumper shouted ‘wear me!’ and it worked.

Back to talking about nature. Macro photography is like going deep into another world. It is my favourite. Just look at the wonder of this simple autumn leaf. Full of lines weaving around, creating hundred, if not thousands of individual sections.

Strolling along the pathway, close to where I live in an urban area, the trees have nearly finished shedding their canopies ready for the winter sleep. Two days ago the sun was a golden orb setting as the cloud cover dispersed. Its rays bringing the carpet of colour below briefly to life.
